Moss Petroleum Undergoing Project
Moss Petroleum, a new company formed in Nigeria in 2008 has announced plans to build an oil storage tank farm by the river Benin
in the Delta State of Nigeria.The tank farm will consist of six tanks with
a capacity for 60 million litres of petroleum products, primarily
automotive gas oil [AGO], premium motor spirit [PMS] and dual
purpose kerosene [DPK].

Proposed Tank Farm
The depot will have 6 tanks in total, 4 will have a 12 million litre capacity and 2 will have a 6 million litre capacity. These will be for the storage of AGO, PMS and DPK.
The proposed site for the project
The land is situated in Koko, Delta State, Nigeria. The capacity of land acquired by Moss Petroleum is 50 hectares, valued at 7 million dollars by the federal surveyor, Nigeria.

Accuload System
The depot will have the new electronic device system capable of dispensing litres of petroleum products in 10 - 15 minutes.

The Gantry
This will have 6 loading arms through which petroleum products are dispensed into trucks via an electronic device called 'Accuload Ill' which can load between 30 - 40 litres of petroleum products in less than 10 minutes.


Decanting meter
An installation of counting meters for back loading (Bulk] petroleum products will be implemented.
The Depot
The depot will have a modern and well equipped laboratory for the purpose of analysing and attesting to the quality of petroleum products before discharging into the tanks and eventual sale to the local consumer and International market.


Fire fighting
The most sophisticated and modern fire safety mechanism will be installed at the depot for safety purposes.
Fleet of Trucks
Moss Petroleum will acquire a fleet of trucks to ensure efficient supply of AGO, PMS, DPK of petroleum products to both retail outfits and other terminals against the constant demand of petroleum products.


Oil Vessel
Moss Petroleum will be acquiring vessels to handle trading of bulk petroleum products across West Africa and the Coastal region as well as the Global market.
Jetty
Moss Petroleum will have a private licensed jetty on the bank of the Koko Benin river which will provide a smooth platform for vessels discharging petroleum products into the storage tanks.


Petrol Station
During the fist year of business, Moss Petroleum will invest in 3 petrol stations, 1 in Benin City, 1 in Koko and 1 in Lagos. This will help to meet the consumers demands for petroleum products.
Banking facilities
Moss Petroleum will be having banking facilities within the depot to handle all financial transactions.


Lube Blending Plant
Moss petroleum will be investing in a lubricants plant. They carry a wide range of lubricants, broadly categorised as automotive and industrial lubricants and marine lubes.
Leisure Centre
Moss Petroleum will be investing in the building of a 'Leisure centre in Koko. Membership will be for all workers and employees from the company as well as the local community.

Medical Clinic
At Moss Petroleum we will be investing in the build of a 'Medical Centre'. This will cater for the health and needs of all employees as well as the health and well being of the local community.
